Do you have experience selling to installers of camera and surveillance equipment, access control, and or gate automation equipment? If so, don't miss this opportunity. Persons with technical experience in these areas, with sales aspirations, will be considered as well. Southwest Automated Security (SAS), an employee-owned, national wholesale distributor of Gate Automation, Access Control, and Surveillance Equipment, is seeking an Outside Salesperson for the Northeast Region. The ideal candidate will possess experience in the sales and support of dealers/installers in this industry and reside in the Greater NY Metropolitan area, including southern CT. Inside sales activity is an important component of this position as well. It is expected that the person selected for this role will be willing and able to work from the Long Island, NY Office of SAS, as deemed appropriate. Said individual can anticipate working from their home office as well and will plan expected sales activities accordingly. Regional travel will be required. Occasional travel to events at other branches in the country (or possibly trade shows venues) might be required, as requested by management.

General Purpose: To plan and carry out all sales activities on assigned accounts or areas within the territory. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and managing quality of product and service delivery.

Main Job Description, Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities include:

Generating and qualifying leads, preparing, and executing sales action plans and strategies, making sales calls to new and prospective customers, quoting, and converting quotes to orders, conducting product training, maintaining sales activity records through SAS’s CRM, participating in sales and branch events as requested, and gaining knowledge of competitors and relevant market conditions.

Additional duties and tasks include:

  • plan and conduct direct marketing activities
  • develop and make presentations of company products and services to current and potential clients
  • negotiate with clients
  • prepare sales reports as requested by management
  • ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships

Base salary, commission plan, bonus potential, and auto allowance. Benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage, FSA, HSA, Supplemental Insurance, and participation in SAS’s ESOP.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
